You can start on the free address and move to your own domain later. Nothing is rebuilt; the same site simply answers at the new address.

Many people think a website builder and hosting are two separate purchases. With an all-in-one builder they are not: the plan covers the builder, the hosting and the SSL certificate. The domain is the only part you buy elsewhere.
How to connect your own domain
- Buy a domain from any registrar, such as Cloudflare, Namecheap or Porkbun. A .com is usually about $10 to $20 a year.
- Open the publish screen in WeBoss and type the domain.
- Copy the record WeBoss shows you.
- Add it at your registrar, on the page usually called DNS.
- Wait for it to connect. It is often minutes, sometimes a few hours. The padlock is set up by itself.
WeBoss does not sell domain names. Buy one from any registrar and connect it. Your email stays where it is: connecting a website does not change your mail records.
Fast, without a server
Live sites are served from Cloudflare's network, close to your visitors. There is no hosting account, no plugin updates and no server to keep patched. When you change your site and press Update, the new version goes out.
Speed matters for a local business. Someone standing in a flooded kitchen will not wait for a slow page; they tap the next result.
Is anything really free?
Building and previewing a WeBoss site is free, with no card. You can share the preview link to get opinions before you pay anything. Putting the site live for the public, on the free address or your own domain, comes with Starter at $14.99 a month.
That is how most builders work. A plan that is free forever usually shows the builder's adverts and will not let you use your own domain. For a business, your own address is worth the few dollars a month.
