Google & AI search
A website set up for Google and AI search, in one click
One button sets up what Google, ChatGPT and other assistants read about your business. It never changes a word you wrote.
- Titles, descriptions, business details
- Ready for ChatGPT and other assistants
- A done-and-left checklist
What it sets up
- Page titles and descriptions, written to fit what Google shows.
- Business details as structured data: your trade, address, phone and opening hours, taken from your own site. It never invents reviews or ratings.
- Sitemap and robots.txt so search engines find your site.
- llms.txt, a plain-text brief about your business that AI assistants can read.
- AI crawler access: a switch that lets assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity read your site, on by default.
- Image descriptions for photos that have none.
You press one button, and the SEO and AEO screen shows a checklist of what is done and what is left. Nothing on your page is rewritten: the pass only writes the parts search engines read behind the scenes.
SEO and AEO: what is the difference?
SEO (search engine optimisation) is being found on Google and Bing. AEO (answer engine optimisation) is being quoted by AI assistants. People now ask ChatGPT or Google's AI answers "who fixes boilers near me" and get a short list instead of ten blue links.
| Google and Bing (SEO) | AI assistants (AEO) | |
|---|---|---|
| What they read | Your title, headings, words and links | The same page, plus listings and reviews elsewhere |
| What helps most | A clear title, fast pages, your trade and town | Plain sentences that state facts: what, where, how much |
| Files that help | Sitemap, robots.txt, structured data | Structured data, llms.txt, crawler access |
| What you see | Your site in the results | Your business named in an answer |
The two overlap more than they differ. A site that says clearly what the business does, where, and for how much does well in both.
How to optimise a website for AI search
These are the steps that matter for a local business. WeBoss does the first four for you; the rest are yours.
- Let AI crawlers read the site. If your robots.txt blocks GPTBot or PerplexityBot, assistants cannot quote you.
- Add structured data. It tells machines your trade, address, phone and hours without guessing.
- Publish an llms.txt file, a short plain-text summary of your business.
- Give every image a description.
- Answer real questions on the page. WeBoss suggests the questions your customers ask; you write the answers, because you know them and a machine would guess.
- Keep your name, address and phone the same everywhere: your site, Google, Bing Places, Yelp and Facebook.
- Collect real reviews on Google and the directories for your trade.
There is a longer walk-through in our guide, how to show up in ChatGPT and AI search.
Why it never writes your words
An AI that rewrites your page for search will happily invent things: a rating you do not have, years in business, a guarantee you never offered. A customer holds you to those. So the WeBoss pass is built to write only titles, descriptions, structured data and image descriptions, and every fact it uses is checked against your own page.
Structured data is built from what your site already says: the address in your footer, the hours in your booking form, the services you listed. Review and rating fields are never added.
What is left for you
The checklist ends with the jobs no tool can do for you. They take an hour or so, and they matter as much as the technical part.
- Claim your Google Business Profile. It is what puts you on Google Maps.
- Connect Google Search Console (there is a box to paste its code) and submit your sitemap.
- List your business on Bing Places.
- Ask happy customers for a review.
- Use your own domain, so the address people see is yours.
What it will not do
No tool can promise a first-page ranking, and anyone who does is guessing. Rankings depend on your competition, your reviews, how long your site has been around and who links to it. WeBoss gets the technical set-up right and tells you plainly what is done and what is left.

How do I optimise my website for AI search?
Let AI crawlers read your site, add structured data with your trade, address and hours, publish an llms.txt file, and answer your customers' real questions in plain sentences on the page. Then keep your business details the same on every listing and collect real reviews. WeBoss sets up the technical parts in one click.
Will this get me to the top of Google?
No one can promise that. WeBoss gets the technical set-up right so Google and AI assistants can read your site properly; rankings also depend on your reviews, links and competition.
Is SEO still worth it now that people use AI?
Yes. AI assistants build their answers from web pages, listings and reviews, so the same clear, well-set-up site helps in both places. The work has not changed much: say plainly what you do, where, and for how much.
What is llms.txt?
A plain-text file that tells AI assistants what your business is, what you offer and where. WeBoss writes it from your own site and keeps it up to date.
Can I block AI crawlers?
Yes. One switch turns AI crawler access off; it is on by default because being quoted by assistants brings customers.
Does it change my words?
No. The SEO pass writes titles, descriptions and structured data. The words on your page stay exactly as you wrote them.
Does it add review stars to my Google result?
No. WeBoss never adds rating or review data to your site's structured data, because invented ratings break Google's rules and the FTC's. Real reviews belong on your Google Business Profile.
Can I connect Google Search Console and Analytics?
Yes. There is a box for the code each one gives you, and your sitemap is ready to submit.
