Instant quotes
An instant quote calculator for your website
Customers answer a few questions and see a price before they call. Every request is saved as a lead with their answers.
- Price by size, rooms or extras
- Change prices by asking AI
- Every request saved as a lead
How the quote calculator works
You set the questions and the prices: a base price, then what changes it, such as the number of rooms, the size of the job, or extras the customer ticks. Your customer answers on your site and sees a price on the spot, then sends their details to book you.
- Pick what you price by: rooms, square feet, hours, items, or a list of services.
- Set your prices, or describe them in plain words and let the AI set them up.
- Choose what customers see: an instant price, or a "describe the job" request you price yourself.
- Every request arrives as a lead with the answers and the estimate.
It is a price calculator for your website that needs no plugin and no code. It sits on your page in your colours and fonts, and it works on a phone.
What you can price by
Different trades price in different ways, so the calculator is not one fixed form. Here is how owners usually set it up.
| Trade | Priced by | Typical extras |
|---|---|---|
| House cleaning | Bedrooms and bathrooms | Inside the oven, inside the fridge, a deep clean |
| Pressure washing | Square feet, or the surface | Sealing, gutters, a second storey |
| Lawn care | Lawn size | Edging, hedge trimming, clippings taken away |
| Junk removal | How full the truck is | Stairs, heavy items, same-day pick-up |
| Moving | Rooms and distance | Packing, a piano, storage |
| Car detailing | Vehicle size and package | Pet hair, engine bay, ceramic coating |
| Plumbing or electrical | A list of common jobs | Evening or weekend call-out |
An estimate, or a request you price
Some jobs have a clear price, some do not. The calculator can show an instant price, or simply collect the details so you can send a price yourself. You can also offer both and let the customer choose.
On Pro you can then build a proper quote from your saved services, with lines, a discount, tax and an expiry date. You email it or share a link, and the client accepts it online by typing their name.
Setting your prices in plain words
You do not need to think in formulas. Type what you would say to a customer on the phone, and the AI turns it into the calculator:
- "A standard clean is $120 for two bedrooms, plus $25 for each extra bedroom."
- "Add $40 for a second bathroom."
- "Driveways are 30 cents a square foot with a $150 minimum."
- "Take 10% off for seniors."
Read the result, try a few answers as if you were a customer, and correct anything that is off. You can edit every number by hand as well.
Why showing a price helps
People comparing local businesses often skip the ones that say "call for a price". A rough price on the page answers their first question at 10 pm, when you are not answering the phone, and the people who send a request already know your range.
It also saves you time. Fewer calls from people who were never going to pay your prices, and more from people who have seen the number and still want you.
The calculator shows an estimate, not a binding price. You decide what it says next to the number, for example "final price after a visit".
Tips for a quote form people finish
- Ask three or four questions, not ten. Every extra question loses people.
- Use the words your customers use. "Blocked drain", not "drain line obstruction".
- Show a "from" price or a range if the job can change once you see it.
- Say what the price includes, such as materials, travel or tax.
- Ask for contact details last, after they have seen the price.
- Follow up fast. Reply the same day if you can, while the customer is still choosing.
On Pro, WeBoss also shows you the people who started the form and left before sending it, with what they typed, so you can follow up. See how the CRM works.

How do I add a quote calculator to my website?
On WeBoss it is part of the site: open the Quote calculators screen, choose what you price by, and set your prices by hand or by describing them in plain words. On other builders you usually add a calculator plugin or embed one from a separate service.
Do I need a plugin or code?
No. The calculator is part of your WeBoss site. You set it up on the Quote calculators screen, and it takes your site's colours and fonts.
Is the price a customer sees binding?
No. It is an estimate from the prices you set. You choose the wording next to it, such as "final price after a visit", and you confirm the real price yourself.
Can I change prices later?
Any time, by editing them or by asking the AI in plain words, for example "add $40 for a second bathroom".
What if my jobs are hard to price?
Turn off the instant price and let customers describe the job. You get their details and answers, and price it yourself.
Should I show prices on my website at all?
For most local services, yes. A price or a range answers the first question people have and filters out jobs that are not a fit. If every job is truly different, show a "from" price or collect the details and reply with a quote.
Can I send a formal quote?
On Pro, yes: build a quote from your saved services with discount, tax and an expiry date, email it or share a link, and the client accepts online.
Where do quote requests go?
Into your Quotes list on the dashboard and to your email, with the customer's answers and the estimate they saw. You can export the list as a CSV file.
